New Delhi, Tuesday 8 March 2011: Surrounded by the pressure tactics adopted by the ally partners, Congress has kick started own process for the candidate selection.

KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala arrived in New Delhi for talks with the Congress high command regarding the selection process. Chennithala is currently holding discussions with AICC president Sonia Gandhi.

Chennithala would be seeking guidelines from the national leadership regarding the number of seats that should be slotted to the ally partners. The high command would also inform the Kerala leadership regarding the criteria for candidate selection.

A decision regarding the top leaders to be in fray should also come from the national leadership. Pressures are high on Ramesh Chennithala, KPCC president and VM Sudheeran to be on fray and a lot depends on the altitude to be adopted by the high command.
