Kochi, Monday, March 08, 2010: Red Ribbon Express, the campaign train which is taking the HIV-AIDS control message across the country, was accorded a reception at Ernakulam South railway station.
K.V. Thomas, Union Minister of State for Agriculture, inaugurated the awareness campaign. P. Rajeev, MP, inaugurated the AIDS awareness exhibition organised inside the coaches. K. Babu, MLA, administered a pledge. V.K. Ibrahim Kunju attended.
A bus caravan, which would take the campaign to the villages, was flagged off at the function. Southern Railway Ernakulam area manager George John flagged off the caravan. Dr. M. Beena, district collector, K.V.P. Krishnakumar, corporation councillor, and others spoke.
