Thrissur, Tuesday 11 August 2009: Employees of a Thrissur-based financial services firm have complained to the police that they have lost Rs. 1 crore in cash while on the way to deposit the money in a bank.

In their complaint, they said that they had collected Rs. 1 crore from a co-operative bank in Ponnani on Monday morning.
They were travelling from Ponnani to Thrissur in a van. The money was meant to be deposited in the Thrissur branch of Axis Bank. On arriving in the city, they found the money was missing from the box, the employees said.
