Kuttanad, Saturday, November 27, 2010: Minister for Agriculture Mullakkara Ratnakaran today said that about 16 crore rupees damage to the agriculture have been initially reported due to heavy rain.

Speaking to the mediapersons after visiting the agriculture damaged areas in Kuttanad, the Minister said that the measures would be taken to distribute rice seeds for the farmers who lost their agriculture.

Mullakkara said that the Village officers were given directive to give a report before 28th of November. The Minister also added that discussions would be made with top officials in agriculture department to resolve the matters.
