Thiruvananthapuram, Saturday, January 31, 2009: Consensus have emerged in the LDF meeting today held in at the AKG Centre regarding allotment of Rajya Sabha seat.
As contrary to earlier reports that the CPM is likely to keep both seat,s decision have been taken to give one seat to CPI.

It is reported that in the LDF meeting, among the allies Janata Dal(S) and Kerala Congress (J) had raised demand for the Rajya Sabha seat which was promptly rejected.

The LDF also engaged Transport Minister Mathew T Thomas to take decision on reducing bus fares.
