Sabarimala master plan to be implemented soon: CM   Sabarimala

Pathanamthitta, Monday, November 07, 2011: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Monday informed that the Sabarimala master plan would be implemented soon after the conclusion of the pilgrimage season.

Chief Minister was addressing the mediapersons after the review meeting held at Pampa to assess the preparations for the . As part of beefing up the security arrangements in the Lord Ayyappa shrine, institutions have been given to the police and forest department officials to block the intrusion of pilgrims through illegal pathways, CM added.

Oommen Chandy was accompanied by Ministers including KM Mani, VK Ebrahim Kunju, , Adoor Prakash, KB Ganesh Kumar and VS Sivakumar. They also discussed about the standardization of different departments related to Sabarimala pilgrim.

The chief minister also inaugurated a Bailey bridge and its approach road at Sannidhanam atop built with expertise of the Engineering Group of Madras Regiment. The bridge, built at a cost of Rs 1.31 crore, is meant to ease the rush of pilgrims during the peak season.
