Sabarimala, Thursday, December 15, 2011: The aggregate revenue earnings during the Mandalam- Makaravilakku season at Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple had crossed Rs 77 crore.

Out of this, Rs 26.4 crore is from offerings. This year the revenue from Aravana sale is Rs 33.68 crore and from appam Rs 7.25 crore. Previous year the revenues of these items were Rs 24.28 crore and Rs 5.36 crore respectively.

The Devaswam Board president said there is stock of 10 lakh aravana containers and 2 lakh packets of appam.
