Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday, March 06, 2011: The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) will set up a pilgrim relief fund for those visiting Sabarimala as per the orders of the High Court.

A committee with the Devaswom Commissioner as chairman and the Finance and Accounts Officer and the Sabarimala Executive Officer as members will be in charge of the collection of the fund.

The TDB had asked the committee to submit a report at the earliest on whether collections should be made from Sabarimala pilgrims. The report will also deal with the accounting and utilisation aspects.
