Pathanamthitta, Sunday, March 14, 2010: The Lord Ayyappa Temple at Sabarimala opens for the monthly rituals in the midst of severe water scarcity. The Devaswom authorities have issued a press release requesting the pilgrims to return to their homes after Sabarimala visit, due to the lack of drinking water.
The authorities told that there is severe water scarcity and so the rooms would not be made available for pilgrims. The pilgrims are requested to cooperate with the Devaswom board for the inconveniences caused due to the unavailability of rooms, says the press release. The press release has been issued by Devaswom board public relations officer.
