Thiruvananthapuram, Saturday 03 July 2010: The contonment police registered a case after the Registrar of the Kerala University lodged a complaint that two sandalwood trees on the campus of the Kerala University office were chopped off and smuggled out by some miscreants.
According to the police, the trees were found to have chopped off on June 25. But the university authorities reported the matter only on Friday.
The trees, which trunks about 15 centimeters diameter, seem to have been chopped off using hacksaw blades.
