New Delhi, Friday, July 17, 2009: Rejecting the Kerala government’s plea that the Kerala High Court’s statement on the law and order of the state may be removed, the Supreme Court today directed that the statement should not be seen as a comment on Law an Order situation of the state.
While dismissing the bail applications filed by three persons arrested in connection with an attempt to murder Abdul Rahim alias K.M.R. Guru, head of a spiritual organisation at Aluva in Kochi.High Court Judge Justice V. Ramkumar made the observation that, the investigations on Kannur political murders were partial, High Court said, the public has lost faith in law makers as the police and lawyers are acting like slaves of political bigwigs.
Dismissing the plea Chief Justice of India KG Balakrishnan said, the statements were not targeted to the law and order but was a common perception.
