Security staff detained in Rs 1 crore missing case

Thrissur, Tuesday, August 11, 2009: Rs 1 crore money, which was taken from Ponnani Urban bank to Thrissur Axis bank was recovered by police from Chavakkad today.

Police have booked three people in connection with the missing, which include two security staff.

The staff had alleged that, after reaching Axis Bank in Thrissur they found the trunk box, in which the currency was kept, was broke open and the whole amount was missing while the Rs three lakh collected from Kanjani LIC was found intact.

Uncertainty prevailed in the missing incident, as the account given by security staff raised some doubts after further interrogation the security persons, which included driver Unnikrishnan, his friend Suraj and agency Manager James confessed to the crime.
