Thiruvanantapuram, Saturday 04 July 2009: Union Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor has congratulated Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee forgiving Kerala many benefits in the Railway budget presented by her.

In a press note he hailed the decision to upgrade the Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam railway stations and the Railway Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.

Tharoor also expressed his gratitude to Mamata Banerjee and Union Ministers of the state for Railways E Ahmed for considering his efforts for the Railway development of Thiruvanantapuram.
