Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday 14 June 2009: Union Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor called on Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan on Saturday.

During the visit described as a courtesy call, Dr. Tharoor promised the Chief Minister to strive for the development of Thiruvananthapuram city which he represents in the Lok Sabha.
