Thiruvananthapuram, Wednesday, March 03, 2010: Shops and other commercial establishments along national highway from Kazhakootam to Aroor would remain close today to protest against the decision to evict the traders in the name national highway development.

The call for dawn to dusk hartal has been made by Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samiti in Alappuzha, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram.

However, the vehicular movement through the highway will not be disrupted. Also Shivasena has called for a hartal from Cherthalai to Kazhakootam.
