Kumili, Tuesday, 06 December 2011: Chairman of State Human Rights Commission Justice K B Koshy was prevented from visiting the Mullaperiyar dam on Tuesday by the Mlamla strikers union.

Koshy was visiting the dam in connection with a public interest petition filed by Joemon Puthanpurayil.

Meanwhile, activists of Mlamala blocked the Kollam-Theni National Highway road. Trafffic on the NH was completely disrupted. Police are maintaining tight security in the area.
