Thrissur, Tuesday, 25 May 2010: Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan today said here that ladies could apply directly for the post of Sub Inspector from now. He mentioned this in his inaugural speech of the Women cell here.

Those among women who come to the front stream winning competitive exams by competing with men could become sub Inspectors, such opportunities are being arranged.
The procedures for making the police stations women friendly stations have been initiated.
