Kochi, Monday, March 21, 2011: Nizar Ibrahim, the 17th accused in the case related to the secret SIMI camp at Panayikkulam, was produced before the special NIA Court on Monday. Nizar who arrived from Sharjah was arrested from Nedumbassery Airport by the immigration department officials on Sunday, following a tip off.
NIA has issued a look-out notice against Nizar. Nizar Ibrahim is accused of participating in the terror training camp conducted by SIMI at Panayikkulam in 2006 and recruiting some youth to the camp. Though the local police had arrested Nizar Ibrahim earlier, he was later set free. He was again listed as an accused after NIA took over the case. Nizar Ibrahim had however shifted to Sharjah by then.
