Thiruvananthapuram: South-west monsoon has been weak over Kerala. Rain occurred at a few places in Kerala and at isolated places in Lakshadweep.
According to meteorology sources here, the chief amounts of rainfall reports in cm are Mavelikkara and Perumbavoor 3 each., CIAL Kochi, Chengannur and Vadakara 2 each, Alappuzha, Aluva, Piravom, Harippad, Momkompu, Kanjirappally and Koilandy.
Forecast valid until the morning of Aug 19, rain or thunder showers will occur at many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rainfall will occur in Kerala during next 48 hours.
Fishermen warning: Strong winds from north-westerly direction speed occasionally reaching 45-55 KMPH is likely along off Kerala coast and over Lakshadweep area during next 24 hours.
Outlook for subsequent two days (20-21): No significant change.
