Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday, February 06, 2011: The State budget for 2011-’12 will be presented in the House during the 17th session of the Kerala Assembly on February 10. The 17th session of the 12th Kerala Assembly which began here on Friday with Governor RS Gavai’s address would be in session for 13 days and conclude on February 24.
Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac would, besides presenting the last budget of the V.S. Achuthanandan government, place the Vote on Account for the first four months of fiscal 2011-’12 on February 10.
The House would skip its session the following day in view of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to the State. The discussion on the budget would take place on February 14, 16 and 17. February 18 is set apart for private members’ business.
