Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday, August 4, 2011: Devaswom and Transport Minister VS Sivakumar on Thursday said that all help would be extended to provide security to the Padmanabhaswamy Temple as per the Supreme Court direction. He was speaking at the inauguration of the Niraputhari function held here on Thursday.

It would also welcome all security measures put forward by the Maharaja, thantri and the devotees to safeguard the temple treasure. The new generation should be made aware of the lost culture and agricultural tradition, the Minister said.

Mayor K Chandrika presided over the function. MLA V Sivankutty, Deputy Mayor Happy Kumar, ex-Law and Parliamentary minister M Vijayakumar also participated in the function.
