Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday, March 11, 2010: The State is facing water scarcity due to severe drought these days, said Water and Irrigation Minister N.K Premachandran in the assembly.
Seventy small-scale drinking water projects based on bore well would be introduced. Rs. 15 crores had been allocated for the maintenance work of these bore wells to water Authority, he added.
Reports have come up from various parts of Kerala detailing the water crisis and summer threats. Many areas in Kerala are under serious threats due to the high rise in temperature.
