New Delhi, Wednesday 24 June 2009: Former Union Law Minister H R Bhardwaj has been appointed Governor of Karnataka in place of Rameshwar Thakur who will be the new Governor of Madhya Pradesh.

In another appointment, Devanand Konwar has been appointed Governor of Bihar in place of R L Bhatia. Rameshwar Thakur will be the new Governor of Madhya Pradesh for the remainder of his term in place of Dr Balram Jakhar, a Rashtrapati Bhavan communique today said.
