Alappuzha, Monday, October 11, 2010: Union Vayalar Ravi on Monday allged that the CPM was trying to disrupt the communal harmony in the State. Ravi affirmed that the Pinarayi’s attack on the Catholic church was a clear example for this.

Speaking to the reporters in Alappuzha today, Vayalar Ravi criticized the government alleging that the State was being ruled by a corrupted LDF government.

Earlier report: -

CPM had earlier slammed KM Mani, alleging the latter of working behind the criticism against CPI (M) done by some priests of the Catholic church. Speaking to reporters here, Vijayan pointed out that the statements made by Mani on Saturday proves this.

Accusing that Mani’s statements are helping in spreading communal spirits, Vijayan charged the KC(M) leader of speaking without knowing facts clearly. Reiterating the CPI (M) has no problems with the Catholic Church, the state secretary said that some priests are possessing political views and urged them to come out of the holy dress, before playing politics.

“ Some priests are having political ideas and this run along with the ideas of Congress and UDF” - said Vijayan. He categorically stated that CPI (M) doesn’t need votes from any communally connected wings.
