Kottayam, Tuesday, January 18, 2011: The 51st State School Kalolsavam got off to a colourful start at the main venue of Police Parade Grounds in the district with public education director A P M Mohammed Haneesh hoisting the fest flag at 8 am this morning. The fest was declared open by Education Minister M A Baby.

It is after a gap of 14 years, a school youth fest is being held here. The arrival of participating teams began yesterday itself. As many as 10,000 contestants will be participating in the festival organized at 17 venues.
