Kozhikode, Sunday 25 April 2010: Industries Minister Elamaram Karim has said that steps are on to modernise and expand the activities of the Beypore port and the Steel Complex.

Karim said the International Convention Centre planned at Cheruvannur would be a big boon to Beypore’s future. Minister said it would aim to conceive a project to make Beypore a fallow-free area. The planned development activities would try to energise the public sector units and the traditional sector.
