Kochi, Monday 21 December 2009: Sufiya Maudani, wife of PDP leader Abdul Nazar Maudani, was on Sunday shifted from Ernakulam sub-jail to Aalapuzha Medical College Hospital on health ground, police said here.

Sufiya, the 10th accused in the 2005 Kalamassery bus burning case, was lodged at the sub-jail after the Aluva Judicial First Class Magistrate court remanded her to custody a couple of days ago.

The magistrate had directed police to provide medical assistance to her when needed.
