Aluva, Wednesday, April 01, 2009: The Aluva District Magistrate Court has ordered for a investigation into the role of Sufiya Madani in connection with the bus torching case in September 2005.
The Court has asked the Kalamassery police to do a detail probe and submit the report by June 1st.

The direction from Court for investigations comes in the wake of recent revelation by main suspect arrested in connection with setting ablaze a bus belonging to Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation that Sufiya Maudani had plotted and funded the crime to avenge the arrest of her husband and PDP chief Abdul Nasser Maudani.

According to Majeed Parambai, the fifth accused in the case and PDP former district secretary the bus burning was a retaliatory act to assault on Maudani in jail. He also says that, after that Shafique, Ashique and Omar Farookh were introduced to Sufiya Maudani.
Majeed also in his statements before Assistant Commissioner who is probing the incident says that Rs 20,000 was handed over to each of them involved in the bus burning incident.
