Swine flu cases rises to 321 in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Friday 18 September 2009: Three cases of Influenza A (H1N1) were confirmed from Idukki, two from Thrissur and one case from Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday, taking the number of positive cases reported in the State so far to 321.

As part of surveillance, 8,999 people, including air passengers in three international airports, were subjected to screening on Thursday and the throat swab samples of 44 persons had been sent for tests.

Home quarantine was advised to 64 persons, while 16 others were quarantined in hospitals, one of whom was admitted to a tertiary-care centre.
