The Kerala Government has started swine flu control rooms and nodal officers have been appointed. The Control Room in Kerala is located at the Health Department Additional Director (Public Health) , General Hospital Thiruvananthapuram.

Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday 11 August 2009: The Health Minister PK Sreemathy convened a high-level meeting at Thiruvananthapuram to take immediate precautions against the deadly epidemic. The number of screening centres and treatment centres have been increased. Both private hospitals and government hospitals would work jointly to contain this pandemic. Free medicines would be given to those affected by swine flu.
The Health Ministry has notified the following hospitals in various districts of Kerala, as nodal health centres:

· Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram
· Taluk Hospital, Perumbavoor
· Taluk Hospital, Aluva
· Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi
· Little Flower Hospital, Angamali
· Beach Hospital, Kozhikode
The centre for collecting the fluid and blood samples are:

the new guideline of classifying patients into A, B & C category …AND NOT ADMINISTERING TAMIFLU TO PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM MILD FEVER AND COUGH IS TOTALLY SENSELESS! Do they want to wait till the condition has worsened and the administer tamiflu…the poor patient will have very less chances of surviving once his condition is critical. THE EARLIER POLICY OF ADMINISTERING TAMIFLU TO ALL SUSPECTED CASES IS BETTER
