Thiruvananthapuram, Friday, January 1, 2010: Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan told to the media persons that, Government will give financial assistance to the victims of Karunagappalli tanker explosion.

Government offered 5 lakh to the families of deceased persons. One member of such family will be provided job by the Government
An amount of Rs.25000 will be given to injured people in the mishap.

The Government will afford the treatment expenses of injured ones.
Today evening, Samad, a dweller of Karunagappalli died in the explosion. By this, the death toll of tanker explosion turned five.
