Tirupati, Monday, July 05, 2010: Sashi Tharoor, Former Union Minister of State for External Affairs offered prayers in the famous temple of Lord Shiva at Srikalahasti, along with his friend, Sunanda Pushkar on Saturday.

Shasi Tharoor, has resigned his ministership recently in the wake of a row kicked up over his controversial role in the IPL cricket deal, had earlier arrived at the temple along with Sunanda on the last leg of their two-day pilgrimage. They were later seated in the mandapam and the Lord’s prasadams and portraits presented as priests chanted vedic hymns wishing well for the VIP devotees.

When media persons crowded Tharoor and Sunanda emerged out of the temple, Tharoor after initial reluctance talked to them briefly, however on the condition that the media would not ask any questions on controversial matters.
