Thrissur, Thursday, January 27, 2011: At least 53 Engineering college students, including girls, have been hospitalized here since last night with suspected symptoms of food poisoning. Hospital sources said that the students of a private Engineering college suffered vomiting and diarrhea after consuming beef curry served at the college hostel.

The students were immediately admitted to the nearby hospitals in the district. The hospital authorities informed that conditions of the students were stable.
