Thiruvananthapuram, Wednesday, 16 November 2011: Thrissur townhall would be named after Former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader K Karunakaran. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy announced today.

Before the media after the weekly cabinet meeting Chandy said that a statue of K Karunakaran would be installed in town hall premises. Rupees 30Lakhs has been allotted for the purpose, Chandy said.
