Thrissur, Wednesday 9 December 2009: A female Bengal tiger aged 19 years died at the Thrissur zoo on Tuesday. Zoo officials said that the tiger died of age-related illnesses. A post-mortem examination was performed in the afternoon. The tiger was brought to the Thrissur zoo in 2004 from the Thiruvananthapuram zoo.
