Idukki, Tuesday 02 June 2009: In a rare incident, a tusker was killed by tiger inside the Eravikulam wildfire park near Munnar.

Forest official said the body of the tusker was found by the forest watchman of the area.

A team of officials, along with veterinary doctors, have gone to the spot to conduct a post-mortem. “We believe that only one tiger was involved in the attack as there are only pug marks of one tiger,” he said.
