Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday, July 05, 2011: The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against eight customs officials in connection with the irregularities in the tax payment at Thiruvananthapuram International airport cargo complex.
The case has been registered against eight airport officials including Customs Joint Commissioner Sofia M Joy and three Superintendents. The CBI has also registered a case against an agent in connection with this.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had earlier found irregularities during the raid that lasted for almost 20 hours.
The raid was conducted by the officials of the CBI as well as the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI).
