Thiruvananthapuram, Wednesday 2 February 2011: An exhibition of paintings, ‘Forms and Frames’, showcasing the works of as many as 31 artists in the capital, began at Museum auditorium on Tuesday. The exhibition, which is being organised by Kerala Chithrakala Parishad, was inaugurated by K M Nair, chief controller of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre.
Over 60 paintings are displayed at the exhibition, which stands out with its variety in the selection of works that fall in different styles like portraits, landscapes, still life, murals, and abstract paintings, using various media, including oil painting, water colour, acrylic, sand and charcoal.
The themes of the paintings are also varied, with topics like nature, current affairs, spirituality and even religion becoming the topics. The exhibition is open every day from 10 am to 6 pm and will conclude on Sunday.
