Kottayam, Thursday, March 04, 2010: Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) State President R Chandrasekharan today criticized the Kerala Government for presenting the Trade Union Recognition Bill in the Assembly without consulting trade unions.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the Government should have consulted the trade unions before moving the Bill in the Assembly. The matter should have at least been discussed in the Industrial Relations Board, he felt.
Expressing strong protest against the moving the Bill hastily, he charged that it was an ineffective exercise and would not facilitate streamlining of the trade union sector.
