Thiruvananthapuram, Saturday, 31 July 2010: The one and a half month longed trawling ban would end by Saturday in the State, which had been imposed from June 14 midnight Around 4000 trawlers were at rest in the coast for about 47 days from 14th.
Fishermen had a difficult time during Monsoon trawling. Due to the hike in diesel price many fishing boats had been facing crisis. Jobless day would be over by today for the common fisher folk. It was believed that trawling ban would help regeneration of marine fish during Monsoon.
