Kannur, Friday, July 24, 2009: The Thalassery Additional Sessions Court has deferred the trial of cases relating to the terror activities in the state.
The case would now be heard next month 18th. The order came after special public prosecutor PV Hari informed that; it needs more time to study the case because of its highly sensitive nature.
The charge-sheet names 23 accused in the case, including four youths from the State killed by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. Six of them are still absconding.
The police produced seven of the accused in the court on Friday. They are: Muhammad Nainar Ali, V. Firoz, K.M. Muhammad Nawas, P.V. Sabir Sukhari, P.V. Anas, P. Shaneej and C.P. Abdul Hameed.
Six other accused in the case are in Bangalore jail after their arrest in connection with the investigation into the Bangalore serial blasts. They are K.P. Abdul Jaleel, P. Mujeeb, Badaruddin, T. Abdul Jabbar, Sainuddin and Sarfraz Nawas.
