Kalpetta, Saturday, February 06, 2010: A group of tribals have encroached sixteen acres of coffee plantation belonging to Janata Dal Veerendrakumar faction MLA MV Shreyams Kumar.

The tribals alleged that the land located at Krishnagiri in Meenangadi was revenue land. The encroaching is led by CPM affiliated organization called AKS.

The decision was taken in the tribal welfare meeting held last week. The encroachers said that, the High Court had earlier released an order regarding this.
