Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday 15 December 2009: As many 5,000 children representing various schools will vie for top honours at the Revenue District Kalotsavam beginning at the Cotton Hill Government Girls Higher Secondary School here today.

Students from 12 educational sub districts will compete in the four-day event divided into three categories, namely Youth Festival, Sanskrit Festival and Arabic Literary Festival. Registration starts on December 16, followed by competitive events.
