Kochi, Sunday 30 May 2010: The crucial UDF meeting to be held today in Kochi assumes political significance as it is being held for the first time after the merger of Kerala Congress Mani and PJ Joseph.

The congress and other constituents in the UDF will be protesting against the merger of Joseph with K.M Mani led Kerala Congress faction, when Mani will be reiterating his stand that the merger was purely an internal matter of his party.

It is learned that Mani would not be putting the demand for more seat in the next Assembly elections in the meeting, as it would lead to more crisis in the UDF. The stand taken by the IUML and JSS will be crucial in the meeting
