Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday, March 03, 2011: The deadlock over the seat allocation between the UDF and JSS for the upcoming Assembly election continues, with the bilateral talks failing to reach an agreement. Speaking to the reporters after the bilateral talks held here today, Senior JSS leader KR Gowri Amma said that the party would remain firm on its demand for five seats within the UDF for the election on April 13.
UDF Convener PP Thankachan said a final decision on seat sharing with all UDF partners could be completed by March 10. JSS was the first UDF partner with which the congress began its bilateral talks on seat sharing.
Congress leaders will hold meeting with the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) on March 4th in Kozhikode. Another meeting is scheduled with the allies including Mani faction, on March 7th in Kochi.
