Thiruvananthapuram, Friday 12 March 2010: Agriculture Minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran said in the assembly that the agriculture secretary will probe the urea scam where urea was alleged to have been illegally sold.

There was allegation that the urea given by the state government to the farmers was illegally redirected and sold. The Minister revealed this when P C Satheesan of the Congress moved an adjournment motion.

The entire opposition walked out of the assembly when the Speaker denied permission for an adjournment motion.
