It is traditionally a day for lovers to express their love, intimacy, affection and caring for each other. The day is named after one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasius I in 496 AD.
February has long been called the month of romance and many experts recognized the day of 14th February as the most celebrated and enjoyed among the participants. The way of commemorating this day has developed over the years since it was used to be celebrated in early ages. Now the trend of gifts given have also changed with the change in concept of love. On this day lovers exchange gifts, the recent years roses, teddies, coffee mugs replaced conventional cards for wishing and expressing the love.
Valentine’s Day is not just for lovers! Every such days gives us a chance to be unique and creative in showing appreciation to our clients, customers, colleagues and employees, friends etc. Although it is celebrated without any age barrier, youth celebrate it with more intensity and passion. There are two possible outcomes of this day, one is enjoyed by the participants while the other is enjoyed by the businesses and owner of different businesses, aiming mere profit. They provide attractive packages, exciting gifts, the youth lured by this sight throng to shops.
The concept of true love has changed over years, but still there are people who maintain intensity in relations, some weakened by break ups and some others still urging for love.
