Thrissur, Saturday, June 13, 2009: While picturising the visuals of Thrissur Indoor stadium two camerapersons of a regional channels were assaulted by sports persons and their coaches alleging that the media without the permission from authorities were trying to take visuals of women.

According to the cameramen they had obtained the permission of sports council before taking visuals, but the assaulters turned a deaf ear to their requests, the sports council district council secretary who came for the rescue was also not spared.

Protesting the assault the pressmen later lodged a complaint to Minister KP Rajendran.
