Kochi, Tuesday 09 February 2010: The formalities for establishing a bus terminal at Vyttila, for introducing KSRTC buses in the Kochi city area and linking the buses coming from Vypeen to the city are being expedited, said Minister for Fisheries S. Sarma.

Sarma said that the Union Ministry of Environment’s freezing of any development works in the Greater Kochi Development Area would bring the development of the city and its suburbs to a standstill. He wanted this issue to be taken up and widely discussed and compared it to a physician prescribing beheading someone to cure a headache.

Sarma recalled that the late Varkey was an exemplary leader, who through his honesty and lack of selfishness continued to inspire people.
