Thrissur, Monday 30 August 2010: Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan would have talks with the Adivasi Kshema Samithi leaders regarding eviction of encroachments in Wayanad.
The meeting is scheduled for 10 am at Thrissur. Leaders of the Adivasi Kshema Samithi would be putting before the CM their demand that all the illegal encroachments made by private parties in Wayanad including that of MV Shreyams Kumar MLA should be evicted.
Hints are that the Adivasi’s would express their willingness to move out of the land currently held by them, if the government adopts a positive stand towards their demands.

Lending a breather to the tense situation building up following eviction process in Wayanad district, the District Collector made it clear that eviction process would be carried out only after the discussion that the Chief Minister will have with the agitators.
The discussion is scheduled for Monday at Thrissur. The stage was set for discussion after the CM made an appeal to the Adivasi Kshema Samithi to put an end to the struggle.
Kerala Chief Minister V.S Achuthanandan on Saturday urged the people of ‘Adivasi Kshema Samithi’ to end the land strike continuing in Wayanad. Achuthanandan affirmed that the State government would provide land for all the land less people within three months.
A new tribunal would be constituted for settling the land cases registered in Wayanad, said Achuthanandan. Achuthanandan also assured speedy remedy to the cases related to encroachments.
